Fox said the Panthers have not asked Smith to restructure his contract, which Smith signed in 2012 under the impression he would finish his career with the team that drafted him in the third round in 2001.

There is people that agree with me, many of them won't speak. Why? Because they sit back and watch just as I did you guys tow the company line. You guys are the majority here, because you've been here longer and have personal relationships with Mr. Igo. My supporters don't speak because they are afraid of the backlash I receive.
