For those that haven't realized our safety situation yet: Harper, Tre, and possibly Lester look to be going to IR. Russell, Jones, and DeCoud look to be our only healthy players. At the moment we are looking at a Russell/Jones and DeCoud starting safety duo.

Cut by the Bears five days ago (I think). Falcons picking him up was two days ago but I hadn't seen it anywhere till now.

If Lester, Harper and Boston do all go to IR I would think we would turn Godfrey back into a safety before we go and sign another one.

Please understand that when you look at available salary cap you need to take in consideration the following years cap also if you sign someone for more then one year. Also, as everyone knows we have several quality young players who will be expecting bigger contracts here soon.

The thing is, Godfrey looks like he has lost speed since the injury. He couldn't really cover well before injury and right now he is even worse. So I don't really see how he would be able to help out our situation.
