Other Team's Cuts

Mr. Scot

Colt Lyerla was released by The Packers. The kid was impressing everybody there, especially with his athleticism. He's of the Graham mold. What could it hurt to bring him in?

A coke addict who says ridiculous things? nah.

Dolphins just cut Safety Demetrius Wright. Undrafted rookie out of USC. I would like to sign him and see what he can do Thursday, as a strong safety.

And

@RavensInsider: 49ers cut McLeod Bethel-Thompson, D.J. Campbell, Kevin Greene,Jewel Hampton, Colton Schmidt, Kion Wilson, Devon Wylie.

The same Campbell that was on the Panthers?

I've kept up to date with ginn, cause he was the only fa I thought the panthers would truly miss. He's be awful form a WR standpoint, he's not at best 4th on depth... is there a 7th? If not for the huge risk of putting big money peterson at punt returner, he'd have no place there. KO returner have no value, I bet they have buyer regret big time. I even heard if they need a big return, peterson would be the returner.

I see Darius Reynaud is out of a job again.  There was a time when he looked like a dangerous returner but these days it seems he can't catch on anywhere.  Same might be true of Jacoby Ford.

Some former Panthers listed, including return guy Joe Adams, special teams LB Jordan Senn, linebacker Kion Wilson, safety D J Campbell and corner R J Stanford.  Stanford is another one of those guys that keeps getting tryouts but doesn't seem to stick.

Vets who it looks like are probably done: DT Alan Branch, S Adrian Wilson, OT Max Starks

Names that some might find interesting (but keep in mind they were cut for a reason): DT Nate Collins, DT Tommy Kelly, DE Will Smith

As I recall. Michael Bamiro was a guy some liked as an undrafted rookie before the Eagles got him.

I see local kid and former Gamecock Tori Gurley is on the cut list again.

At this point, Gurley has been signed, and cut, by literally a quarter of the NFL.

Eight teams (Packers, Vikings, Raiders, Bucs, Chargers, Ravens, Browns, Bills) have given this kid a look, but no one's kept him all that long.

    • The SEC were not having GT upset Georgia at home. Horrendously corrupt officiating in this game - the non-PI on 4th down and the non-targeting call on the King fumble. Good lord.
    • I like how they were about to punt the ball right before the two minute warning before being like... oh fug, this'll be too obvious we gotta try a FG then ole boy skulls one that never got more than about 12 feet off the ground. LOL!
