Don't understand the hate for Godfrey.

He's in his third game back since tearing his achilles AND he's adjusting to a new position. Yet people are bashing him for his play this preseason.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but if Roman Harper can't get on the field, safety is going to be a major concern. Lester has looked pretty bad. Next man up is Anderson Russell. Yikes.

Do you know anything about an Achilles injury?  I think your last sentence got away from you.  Not sure what you mean.  Are you suggesting that you are the logical voice and anyone who disagrees is emotional and irrational?

“C-God” has zero guaranteed money left on his contract.  I think they are giving him the entire pre-season to prove himself.  The media has said he isn’t getting it done in practice and he looks terrible in the preseason games.  I think they cut him and save the 4.350M left on his deal this year.  None of that is guaranteed.  If anything they renegotiate to the minimum but I just don’t see that happening either.  He is really the one player that screams cut me.

Godfrey back to ss when healthy is the best move at the moment, unless someone good gets cut which is highly unlikely

Your comments suggest that you know the answer to that question.  Most people who are recovering from achilles injuries have trouble in certain aspects of cutting and acceleration, and it contributes to speed and being able to cover .  Heck, before his injury he was late over the top a lot.

 

Since they do not time NFL player 40 times, you are asking questions that have no correct answers.  I am willing to guess, based on the facts we know, that they have considered your proposal and have chosen not to do it for real reasons.  Maybe later, but for now, the answer at S will have to be addressed with safeties.
