16 year old girl almost got kidnapped in Ballantyne in the middle of the day

Very early 2000s hipster attitude Panthro with the anti-suburb sentiment.   We're also quite a few decades removed from the garden city movement haha.

I don't view edge city development as a bad thing and many places are going more with the new urbanist model.  It's inevitable in cities that are sprawling and laid out like Charlotte, Atlanta, DC, and Nashville for example.  I find it funny how people try to paint the divide as some cultural and personal thing when it simply makes sense for people to live in certain areas.

Those that insult people who live in those areas because they are "void of individuality" are typically those who can't afford to live in those areas.

That couldn't be more wrong. For what I paid when I lived in Uptown could've bought me a MCmansion in the burbs.

We tend to not drive through your neck of the woods....prefer not to get car jacked nor mugged.

But hey....as long as you have that 60 yo bunglow with character then I guess it is worth the price of safety.

I bet you cross the street when a black person is walking toward you. Then again, there are no blacks where you live.

I think I'm gonna puke.

[George]Puke ... that's a funny word. Puke. (laughing) Puke![/George]

Well, as usual, you would be wrong....AGAIN.

But frankly...if I were younger and did not have kids, I would definitely live in more of a downtown/urban setting (over the suburbs).  Different time in my life than now....things that were important then are much less important now.

How am I wrong? When I bought my place ... you know, I had eyes. I noticed the number. Then would notice how it was more than the cookie cutter garbage in the suburbs. Wow, you have a spacious house. Neat!

Was not responding about the price if homes. It was your idiot race baiting about living in a place with no blacks.

My neighbors on both sides of our house say hi. And they are two of the best neighbors I have ever had.

Says the man who sarcastically typed he didn't want to get carjacked or mugged.

And wow, TWO houses of black folk? Ballantyne be growin' up!
