Don't post often, but wanted to chime in on this horrendous waste of a Friday night.  Damn, I wish I didn't even watch that crap.  That being said...

 

Shula.  What the fug.  

 

Our offensive woes are all on him IMHO.  We seemed to have two plays in that 5 lb. playbook.  Up the gut and go deep.  People are worrying about Bell (and I'm *not* saying he's great) but the fact that they knew we were doing only one of two things allowed them to rush unheeded.  In other words, they had no fear of the RB screen, quick slant or 10 yard hook route (or anything other than up the gut or do deep).  They just rush blitzed play after play.  Rush blitzing kills your rush.  It's also a blitz so a long developing pass play makes the quarterback vulnerable.  And so...what happened??  We get freaking EMBARRASSED.

 

Shula gave them our plays by being so predictable.  We have picked up right where we left off last year, predictable, pathetic play calling forcing our magnificent defense (kudos to McDermott!) to win the game.  

 

So disappointed right now...

So I had to work and missed the game. Should I be bothering to watch this?

 

You should go and watch the GOAT QB put on a clinic, Picasso Brady painting a masterpiece week after week.

The Patriots had ten penalties in a damn preaseason game lol, yeah I think they are still a little upset about last season.

 

We had 11 last week and 10 the week before that.

Yeah, and that first week you lost to the Redskins by 17 points, and only scored 2 field goals. It's preseason.

 

Unfortunately we have a few fans here who cannot grasp that concept though.

      This was evident first two weeks of season. I don’t see any issues with physical tools since he came back. I think he is a player that must play with confidence to overcome those size limitations and he’s doing that.

      Still 3-10 on passes over 15 yards.  At least he's not scared to merely attempt them anymore.  Where I see improvement is the 10-15 yard range.  He was 6-6.  Bryce of old was scatter shot on anything beyond 10 yards and the further out, the worse the accuracy.

      I think to an extent, we are exaggerating the KC defense in this assessment.  That's a middle of the road NFL pass defense that is largely being billed as a very good.  Bryce Young had a good game for Bryce Young.  I just don't see how this game really changes anything.  He doesn't have the tools and makeup to be what your answer at QB should be.
