Exactly.

I'm a Real Madrid fan. So yeah, I can tell you first hand that they're one of (if not) the most profitable and popular soccer clubs in the world.

I tried to get around and watch some different leagues. . Juventus, Liverpool. Ahh I just cant stay interested. Messi is fun to watch as is Ronaldo, but I just cant keep my head in the game when I watch.

The Clippers were not valued any where close to that before being bought by Capt Insano. Balmer did a lot of people a solid by over paying for what I believe he thought was a good cause and something that he can also benefit from and enjoy.

Because buying the LA kings and bringing an NFL franchise are next on his list. Seems to be a forgone conclusion in Los Angeles...

that would be an incorrect way to look at it. Here is how the teams did from the 2013 Forbes list to the 2014 Forbes list. The Falcons jumped the Saints, despite the Falcons going 4-12 and the Saints going 11-5. Also, note the Bucs are higher than the Falcons and Saints despite the Bucs being irrelevant for the last decade while the Falcons and Saints have been doing very well in recent history (Falcons went to playoffs in 2002, 2004, 2008, 2010, 2011, 2012 and Saints went to playoffs in 2006, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2013)

NFC South

$1.25 billion - Panthers (up from $1.06 billion)

$1.23 billion - Bucs (up from $1.07 billion)

$1.13 billion - Falcons (up from $0.93 billion)

$1.11 billion - Saints (up from $1.00 billion)

Note how those metro areas rank by GDP

#10 in US - Atlanta ($295 billion)

#21 in US - Charlotte ($137 billion)

#24 in US - Tampa ($120 billion)

#40 in US - New Orleans ($85 billion)

http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_U.S._metropolitan_areas_by_GDP

New Orleans doesn't have near the wealth of the rest of the cities in the NFC South yet their football team is right up with the rest of the NFC South in value. That is a strong fanbase and a big football town. Meanwhile, Atlanta is by far the wealthiest city in the NFC South while their team isn't....that is a crappy fanbase.

Here is a breakdown of the aints year by year

current value  Change%    Debt%     Revenue      Operating Inc

937                 10               13            213              21.5

2008 22nd

942                 0                 13            232              30.7

2009 22nd

955                 1                 13            245              36.7

2010 21st

965                 1                 13            261              28.9

2011 21st

971                 1               N/A           N/A              N/A

2012 23rd

1004                3                N/A           276             22.2

2013 23rd

1,110               11               7              278             50.1

2014 23rd

So really while the rest of the NFL has been growing at a much higher rate, the aints having not been growing as fast. In fact they are very close to the bottom in that number change%. Atlanta in the meantime has jumped way ahead of them in the same time span.

This is kind of what I was getting at. Relatively, the aints are not doing well. IF the league is expanding constantly then why is NO only rising at a very small rate. Its not because of their city's GDP. Fans cover a large radius in the SE. I would attribute the offset to fair weather fans. Theyre adding fans, but theyre also losing a lot of them.
