On a serious note, DG has to be considering something because we just don't have depth at OT. We might have developmental guys but not guys that can step in if an injury occurs. It's good to have these kind of assets though.

Why fart away our young depth? Don't you wana keep grooming them to maybe replace the ferocious rotation we already have? Think beyond this year.. Long term... Which is what gettleman is thinking.

Charles is getting up there and Hardy is an expensive wild card. I wana keep our depth.

These trades are always tricky I feel like the draft picks you get in return are usually not that great. With Kenjon and Beason I get it because you don't see a future for those guys with the Panthers.

 

But Alexander has a chance to be a solid Al Wallace type guy for us. Are we going to let him go for a 4th round pick? Do you really think someone is going to give us more than that for him?

 

Back in 2011 the media was speculating Steve Smith was worth a 4th. He had 1500 yards receiving that year.

The Panthers kept 5 DE'S last year.

This year we have 6 quality nfl defensive ends and extremely thin at other spots.

But outside of KB there isn't a single WR on our roster that we could realistically trade for oline help. But there are DE's we could trade for oline depth.
