Eagles trade for Barner

That's the interesting thing.

Chip Kelly's offense is a power running game.

Weird formations at the goal line does not define a philosophy.

The Iggles ran the ball more than we did last year and were far more successful at it.

They wer also top 10 passing to our bottom of the league.

Kelly will dominate the weak NFC East for the foreseeable future.

To be fair, a Mike Singletary or Greg Schiano led team could dominate that dumpster fire of a division.

were they hurting that bad fora returner? . . just wow

This seems like a clear case of my GM is better than yours.  This is like when Spurrier came in and was scooping up all Florida players at any cost.   Gettleman knew he was done and was like who can I get something out of with this dude.  It sounds like the Eagles were hype.  This is like when I was a kid and I used to trade bubble gum for twenty dollar toys.  The kid would smash the bubble gum and then I would have the toy.  Yep, my father busted my ass after finding out where I got all of these toys.

Barner's not a power runner, he'd likely be utilized in more of their screen game which they use more extensively than we do.

Which is bad, because the AFC South is even worse...

Not trying to pick on him, he's a fine STer. Just didn't like that we gave up a draft pick for someone that was 100% about to be cut. Not a smart way to run a team IMO, especially for a guy that's not playing an essential position and is mainly looked at as a ST only player. Like I said, glad we are on the other of these moves now.

having a good special teams gunner is pretty important.
