Bill belichick and his delusions

I think Huddle sentiment is bit extreme on how much LaFell sucks. He was always decidedly average here, which honestly is a big step up for the Patriots receiving corps.

Being the in the Boston area, the Patriots homers are very high on LaFell, mostly because the rest of their receiving corps is either always injured (Gronk) or like 4 ft tall (Edelman). They think he'll be a bit target and a reliable red zone threat. I have a hard time believing he'll suddenly become a redzone threat that he never was here, but sometimes different systems really do bring the best out of players.

He is nowhere near what people label him to be here.

His weakness was his upside or lack thereof. I thought he would develop into a deep threat with his size but he never did. We tested him on that last year. There were two games where we went deep to him multiple times and I don't think we connected once.

The pats are putting him in a role that plays to his strengths. Will see how he does.

It's a shame Panthers fans want to slam LaFell when he's grateful for the Panthers organization and still has a home here. It's called business for a reason.

“It meant the world to me,” LaFell said. “They blessed me, [owner] Mr. [Jerry] Richardson and that organization blessed me with the opportunity to live my dreams out and become an NFL player. It helped me provide for my family and the guys I met, like Thomas Davis and Steve Smith, guys that taught me how to be a pro. And a guy like Steve Smith, who helped me so much on the field and off the field with his game, really taught me how to be a professional receiver. It means a lot to me.” - See more at: http://www.providencejournal.com/sports/patriots/content/20140819-patriot-wideout-lafell-admits-he-s-still-got-a-lot-to-learn.ece#sthash.5bWNTkCI.dpuf
