Bill belichick and his delusions

Per J.Jones on twitter:acording to Bill Belichick "Lafell carving out a niche and it may be a big one" High hopes Billy Boy.If this dude pans out for them I will be suprised as hell.So Friday night they get to cover the unstoppable Donald. If "carving out a niche"is bowing up when it counts, then he's your guy.

I saw this RT from Jones, as well. Had to LOL. Lafell had his chance here. Plenty of chances. They basically gave him the #2 job. Couldn't grab it. I wish him well, despite his snarky comment he made about us a few months ago, but I'll be shocked if he does anything than get 400 yards and a maybe a handful of touchdowns.

Word is that they had some convos with Lafell during FA, but had no real interest in resigning him unless he wanted to come back dirt cheap. If that's true that should speak volumes.

Stop trashing ex panther players just for the hell of doing it or jealousy. There's a good chance Lafell looks a lot better in NE, as a lot of WRs have. Bottom line, he had way to high of a price tag for keeping him around here for what we want to do.

Why start a thread over a player who doesn't matter to us anymore? Aweful thread, get your panties wedgie out from your ass OP. He's gone so forget about him

It's a shame Panthers fans want to slam LaFell when he's grateful for the Panthers organization and still has a home here. It's called business for a reason.

“It meant the world to me,” LaFell said. “They blessed me, [owner] Mr. [Jerry] Richardson and that organization blessed me with the opportunity to live my dreams out and become an NFL player. It helped me provide for my family and the guys I met, like Thomas Davis and Steve Smith, guys that taught me how to be a pro. And a guy like Steve Smith, who helped me so much on the field and off the field with his game, really taught me how to be a professional receiver. It means a lot to me.”

He also had an interesting quote about Shula and Cam.

“It’s night and day. When he first came in, he just did everything off talent. Once he got with Coach [Mike] Shula, he really worked on his game, his fundamentals, that guy started to blow up. Now he’s one of the best in the game.”

“I tell everybody the same story – he has everything you wish for in a football player. He has size, he has speed, he has ability, toughness, he can do it all.”

LaFell always seems to give you hope in the preseason. Then the real games start and he becomes terrible.

Also its very annoying to hear the "we should support him crowd". Hell he is not our brother so I say fug him and his coach. I will never cheer for another team or player on that team.

Nobody's saying we have to support him. But ripping him like he did something wrong is ridiculous too.

Lafell could be an interesting mid to late round fantasy football pick.  He may have the usual drops but his increased looks in that offense could mean significant numbers.  Get the huddle butt creme ready because I see both he and Smith having good seasons, Ginn not so much.

I dont understant, never will. He catches, blocks, runs good routes. I mean he was always very serviceable. . . I just wouldnt. . toss it to him with the game on the line.

Thats when he failed us.. Big third downs, 4th downs.. Gets behind the defense(KC) perfect pass hits him in the hands and he drops it.
