Could you imagine if Cam had done this?

The Irony is: Maziel's worst offense is, he can't learn the play book (with no big media criticism/scandal), and he's not a good QB, though he gets The Golden Calf of Bristol like publicity.

I think his career's going to end like The Golden Calf of Bristol's to, unfortunately.

I see a Ryan Leaf-esque explosion at some point in his career....

i wish i could sit comfortably with systemic hypocrisy like some of you do

Pretty sure I've never met a sports fan who wasn't something of a hypocrite.

Opposing player throws a low block...

"That guy plays dirty!  He's a cheating sack of s--t!"

Our player throws a low block...

"That's how you play the game!  If you ain't cheatin', you ain't tryin'."

Our player has an attitude...

"Don't mess with him!  He doesn't take crap from anybody!"

Player signs elsewhere in free agency...

"What a total prick!  I always hated that guy!  F--k him!"

That's how it is

But honestly, it's just sports, so it doesn't really bother me that much.

LANDOVER, Md. -- Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel extended his middle finger toward the Washington Redskins bench after a third-quarter incompletion

...

On a second-and-7 play, Manziel dropped back, rolled left to escape the rush and threw across his body just before reaching the sidelines. The pass to Jonathan Krause fell incomplete.

...

as (Manziel) trotted back to the huddle in the nationally televised game he extended his middle finger over his right shoulder toward the (Redskins) bench.

...

Asked in his postgame news conference if he thought it was wrong, Manziel smiled before laughing.

"I mean, I didn't think it was positive," Manziel said

...

"I can tell you what the statement was that set him off," Redskins safety Ryan Clark told ESPN Radio's "Mike & Mike" on Tuesday morning. "The statement was, 'This isn't college anymore and these people are faster than you are.' He didn't like it. And that was me cleaning up the statement. That's pretty much what it was."

...

"It was hilarious," said Redskins linebacker Brian Orakpo ... "We were messing with him a little bit, just saying this ain't college and stuff like that."

Don't understand the meaning of this thread..... Manziel's middle finger is all I've heard about in sports so far today.  Seems like Manziel is getting as much as Cam would get.  Maybe I'm missing the intent of this post.

the difference is, the media made a big deal over everything Cam did and got on their soapbox about how he needs to grow up. Manziel create his own drama by simply being himself and hell but gets away with it..LOL
