What do you guys make of the Cam haters still out there today?

Not to nitpick but the Deangelo fumble and Cam's short pass in the endzone occurred in two different seasons. The fumble in 2013 and the flubbed pass in 2012.

Matt Ryan wears braided belts.

There was a late fumble in that first Seattle game also which set up a Seattle score (and lost us the lead IIRC).  Can't remember if it was Deangelo or Stew though, but it was one of the two.  Then, which of course everyone remembers, is the Cam dirt pass at the end of the game.  Hell, I think there was a missed TD by Murphy right before that if I'm not mistaken... and why Chud didn't call one of those patented Cam goal line runs at least once is beyond me.

if cam wasn't a panther i would hate him with a passion more than likely

i mean kaeperdick does the superman in our stadium and i threw a beer across the room and was screaming at the tv for 30 minutes "kill that motherfuger!" (as an aside wtf is wrong with me). if i saw cam do the superman i would probably hate him.

yea but if you think about it, Cam's celebrations usually end up with him giving a football to the smallest kid in the stands.

I think i heard one guy say matt blanchard should get more reps with the 1s and have derek anderson back him up while cam sits and learns the offense a little more.

yeah there are still plenty of those people around too

the kind of fans who honestly believe that the scrappy gritty gamer undrafted small school journeyman who isn't the most athletic and doesn't have the strongest arm or off the charts measurables is the only kid with the kind of gumption it takes to lead the panthers to the promised land

In 2016 I really want to track this guy down and force him to do all he said he would. If not, then he is a coward.

He comes from a long line of Crimson Tide degenerates, that is all.

It's irritating cause Cam has don't nothing but get better on the field but more importantly become a BETTER MAN. His huddle up series HAS to change your view on him if it's negative. I hate he is compared to other QB that are alright but not better than Cam. I personally believe Cam is gonna take these hater to fuel himself into a too tier QB who makes the Panther relevant & a scary opponent for years to come just sit back and watch him work

I need to go back through some old post. But I know there were not this many cam supporters before we drafted him. Beyond T-ray,Monsta,KT and myself. Everyone one else was quick to dissmiss the guy for his faults as a passer.

I was one of those who said "Suck for Darius" I had a 13 hour drive with my brother in law, and we talked Cam for a big part of it. I had all the stereotypical responses. "Didn't trust him, no Big Time college experience, bad publicity". I just wasn't a fan.

Thankfully...I was wrong. Big time.

You could be right, but on the other hand, there are people that call in and say guys like Philip Rivers, Eli Manning, or other qb's who have been doing it longer than Cam shouldn't start.  The problem is that if there are 50 people that don't think Cam should start, they will be the loudest, and the ones who will dial in to these shows.

Personally I thought Cam looked rusty at the start, but really picked it up once Stewart had that big run.

IMO, Cam was pumped up to the point he couldn't control himself. He was so amped to do well, he over did it. Once he settled down, things got back to normal. The dude is money in the bank. I will take Cam over any young QB in the league.

He wanted to do well so badly, he couldn't do well.

You can't put the whole win/loss record on Cam. I watched all the games, I assume you did as well, we know what happened.

The "progress" you speak of wasn't just with Cam. It was the team that had trouble finishing in 2011 and 2012, particularly the defense. Cam Newton and the offense gave the Panthers plenty of leads heading into the fourth quarter in both of his first two seasons.

Fast forward to 2013, the defense was much better not just overall, but at closing games. Cam improved, and the defense improved.

It is not just the Offense, or the Defense. It is a team that has to learn how to win.

Since Cam watched Peyton dismantle us in 2012, we are something like 18-6. THIS team has learned what it takes to win. That is not going to go away. Add in the talent that has been added since then. We are one whale of a good team. A team that can, and will, compete with anyone.

They really need to keep the idiots off the radio. The Seminole fan calls in. Doesn't give a damn about the Panthers but thinks Derick Anderson should start. Obvious attention seeking.

Lol at that.

However Anderson does look good every time he's in the game.  Probably should have gotten another shot at being a starter somewhere.  Really lucky we have him if anything should happen to Cam.
