Cpt slay a ho what if I told you your opinion was worthless on this forum and you'd be better off spending time washing windshields off the interstate exits?

every post you make is literally just to be heard.............you should get from behind the laptop for a while and find some friends, it's unhealthy for one as yourself to spend every waking moment trying to be heard or seen on a internet forum by a majority who could care less, depressing...............

every year same convo. every year same results

Yeah last year after the Seattle game when Deangelo had two fumbles CRA decided that Deangelo had bad hands (and his legs are done for the record). We tried to tell him he has great hands over his career and probably just had a bad game.

Of course when he ends the season with 3 total fumbles and 2 lost he is mysteriously quiet.

every year he convinces himself that d will needs to be cut and once June 1st passes he begins the yearly d will hate campaign

i don't understand his argument when were coming off a 12-4 season with d will as the starting running back, by his theory stewart would have led us to 16-0 and a superbowl because he's THAT much better

The continuous sniping at our two veteran RB's gets so friggin tiresome. If it's not the ridiculous contracts of Hurney then it's the age or injury bitching. At the end of the day both backs have kept the animosity and jealousy out of the atmosphere that goes with the split carries tactic the team has used with them. They have both had elite level games in multiple seasons.

They are both on the roster at least one more year, wouldn't it be great if we simply let them get used to compliment each other, back each other up, and contribute instead of hearing all the negative projections about them before regular season snap #1?

When it comes to Stewart, his best quality has always been - and I would say still is - his ridiculously good balance.

Stewart is like a human gyroscope.  It's no exaggeration to say he's got the balance of an elite gymnast.  And I'd say you saw that demonstrated pretty clearly on his touchdown runs in the last game.

If you're a defender and you try to take Stewart down with just a shove or a hit, chances are he'll turn and wave to you on his way to the end zone. If you want to stop Stewart, you have to wrap him up.  And frankly, given his speed, power and stiffarm, that's not so easy either.

Have made the comparison many times but it's still valid: Trying to knock Stewart off his feet is like trying to knock down a Weeble.  He may wobble, but he won't fall down.

A healthy Stewart is a definite asset, so I'd love it if he could stay healthy this season.

I agree with his outstanding sense of balance - I will never forget that one game he was playing in a rain deluge and did a sommersault and wound up on his feet and kept running somehow - but he is also a powerful runner and blocker and probably has one of the best stiff arms in the league when healthy.

All true.

You could argue the only thing really keeping him from being talked about as an elite runningback is his health.

yeah it's confirmed you're delusional, not to take anything away from Cam's ability but majority of his rushing threat is due to his ability to carve a defense up with his arm.......you know a duel threat, rb's don't have that option that's why i said how can you even factor him in this equation? how does being 31 factor in this, he still as productive as he was 3 years ago when cam came in the league if not more productive. There hasn't been any significant drop off in his performance since

so if tolbert and stew are a better fit,i ask again why don't there stats reflect so? and why are we drafting scat backs instead of Stewart clones?

to answer the initial question yes d will is better with our o line and scheme UNTIL we face a stout running d who man handles the o line, that's when you need tough yards which can be obtain with stew and tolbert

I already said Newton was a non traditional rush threat....still best rush threat on team. His production backs it.

Age is always a factor....people still want to talk like he is the 2008-2009 guy. He isn't.

Stewart has been hurt....only reason his stats don't show it. Rivera has already proven he prefers 28 if he can get him healthy.

Present day 28 if healthy is better than present day 34 being healthy....not sure why people fight the obvious.

I remember about that time of the year people were claiming he was a top 3-5 RB in the NFL....

And yes, I called bs.
