Ealy is not the next Everette...he can play

I don't know dude.  CJ's contract is so atrocious, I could see them releasing him and signing Hardy to a long term deal.  Plus CJ is older.

Charles Johnson's been one of the most consistent players on the team for going on 5 seasons now.  I don't think they'd let him go to keep Greg Hardy, who is battling some serious legal problems and is a strong candidate to miss a lot of games due to suspension.  In a perfect world Johnson would restructure his contract to be more cap friendly and they'd let Ealy step into Hardy's spot next season if he shows he's ready.

I really don't see them keeping Hardy past this season.  He wants too much money and his off field troubles make him too risky for a long term deal.  The Ealy pick looks brilliant in hindsight.

If anyone paid attention to the Giants, I believe Johnson will be the one to stay too.  The Giants kept the quieter more consistent Justin Tuck.  They paired him with Kiwanuka and the young J. Pierre Paul.  They let Osi walk.  He was the only one with negativity attached to his name.  We have not assembled all of this DE talent for nothing.  I mean hell, even Wes Horton was getting good pressure last night.  Gettleman has too much savvy and too much talent to hand Greg Hardy 60/70plus million.

Would rather have Hardy than CJ, although I love them both. Hardy just absolutely manhandled last years number 1 pick last night. He didn't get a sack but he was having his way with Fisher all night. Hardy's combo of speed, strength, and competitiveness make him a guy we can't afford to lose.
