2 games in..some quick little preseason notes

Yeah, I was definitely pleased with Cason play tonight. A 180 from last week. Still a little concerned with the secondary. The Chefs were moving the ball fairly easy.

The play where Melvin White took on the pulling guard or some O lineman, and kept his feet and sliced the back down for a 2-3 yard loss was legit as fug for a second year undrafted cb.

What a find we could have in White. If he turns into a bonfire starting CB this year, easily one of our best UDFA signings ever.

It looks like we are playing defense without any Safeties but other than that not bad at all.

I liked what I saw too, but we did actually game-plan for this game and I'm not sure if the Chiefs did or not, there was no mention of it at least.  Just something to keep in mind I guess.

 

They clearly game planned.  All of those swing passes, screens, and roll outs plays are not vanilla.  On defense, they were scheming and blitzing well into the fourth.
