He's not. He had offseason surgery and retired.

I liked the D.. I have always loved Cason in his career. Was so happy when we got him. The fella is playing great.

 

 

  The safeties concern me. Would be cool to try out Eric Weddle. Or atleast next year draft a high ranked safety or look for a trade for a young badass.

I thought our secondary played well. Great tacklers.

Their play will get even better the longer they play together.

Cason, White, Decoud looked very good. Lester...he needs work. I still want him to get as much time in there as possible though.

Im good with Carson and white. I'm optimistic about bene and think he should be starting nickel. Norman should be the fourth but beyond that I would say everyone else should be in fear of there jobs. Not sold anyone else in the secondary.

I never understood why so many posters seemed to be high on Lester after last season. He's a back up at best. He has very marginal speed for an NFL safety. It's the reason he went undrafted. It's unfortunate for him, but a fast player can get better at playing football, but a slow player can never get better at running. Your speed comes from mom and dad.

You guys have to remember, good Safety's don't get cut. Unfortunately, we are not going to upgrade the position this year.

Decoud played well enough to get most of the night off. That is a good thing. And a not so good thing. Cuz the guys behind him seem to struggle. Which is why I am hoping Harper comes back for the season. He may have lost a little speed, but he knows how to play the position.

especially this time last year, when our two corners were Norman and Thomas.  Melvin White is quickly catching on and Cason proves to be another brilliant Gettie cheap signing.  Harper is the only signing I dont like so far.

Love the physicality of our corners. I think we are okay with DeCoud, although I did expect him to make somewhat of an impact play by now.

Cason was heat seeking and diagnosing plays like a moaf. munnerlyn used to do that quite a bit and that's how he ended up decent after a while. Except Cason is about 5 feet taller at 6'1".
