Adam Schefter makes the world aware we have zero receivers that caught a pass from last year

I think you could see Cam's passing numbers go up.

When I was a child I had my appendix removed. So instead of playing dodge ball I spent extra time on my studies and the gains were noticeable. I think it could be the same with Cam and his passing game. He will concentrate more on passing well and less on running. Or so I hope.

I have even seen breakdowns about the Panthers saying Cam has zero time spent with his new recievers..ignoring all the stock footage of him throwing the ball.

It must fit the narritive that Cam is lazy and cant read books real gooder.

They're probably talking about REAL GAMES, last year.

However, I get your point.

The Whole Panther, Cam analysis by the national media never makes sense, and/or is based on actual evaluation (i.e. watching) of the team.

People act like it's a slight, even though all he stated was a fact. What if he's just saying keep an eye on the Panthers WRs tonight because they're all new?

We get frustrated with the media for sensationalizing things...but then create controversy over an innocuous tweet. Hypocrisy.

The media's beaten that drum to oblivion. While it is an accurate statement, why not move on to the tune of "Let's see which of Cam's new receivers step up tonight. If any."

It's actually a slap against Cam.

The recent media hysteria, presumes that the Panther receivers were so great that year (when it was Cam that revived both Smiths and Ginn's career).

Would they be acting this way, if it was Andrew Luck, or any other QB with a new set of receivers?

Anyone who watched the Panthers last year, knows the WR and OL didn't always do Cam any favors, but he still found a way to make plays. Plus, Olsen was the teams leading receiver (due to WR deficiencies), and last that I knew, he was still on the team.

Hopefully, both the receivers and TE group, along with the OL will be an improvement this year.

Yeah, but it's already a well known fact. So why keep repeating it, beating a dead horse?

You don't think people who follow Schefter on twitter already know this (especially since he's said it previously)?

If he wanted to say "keep an eye on the Panther WR's tonight, because they're all new", then why not just say that instead?

That's easy (and brings a different context to the statement).

Then these same people say "Cam doesn't make anyone better". Ted Ginn's bank disagrees, Brandon Lafell's bank disagrees. Both got paid playing with Cam.

And I think that is one of the main reasons, why the keep beating that drum about the receivers.

To not make a big deal about it, would be presuming that Cam is there to make everything all right.

Of course, if they did that, that would be admitting that Cam is a settling factor on the team. That we already know. However, the national media, must always present uncertainty with the Panthers, and still even with Cam Newton (though more subliminally).
