Preseason or not if you're not concerned about the way our offensive line/run defense/Cam's ankle then you might being delusional. Our secondary is horrible. It has nothing to do with rust. I hate being the negative nancy but they suck.

I am not really concerned about the run defense at all.  Same personnel as last year mostly.  They will likely get better.  Secondary, offensive line, and receivers are definitely a concern. But we won't know what is really going to happen until the games are real.

One thing I really like about Alex Smith is that he makes his decisions really, really, quick and doesn't force much. That's one thing that Cam really needs to learn, those five yard passed aren't bad plays.

However it helps if your play caller isn't calling plays where the main routes are 12-15 yards down the field.

Those screens were not bad plays, just better defense from the Panthers.
