I've thought about this same exact thing for quite a while. Bottom line is we have a quite a few young, developing DEs with Alexander, Horton, Ealy, and Addison along with mainstays Johnson & Hardy. We also have a guy like Alex Hall, who has pass rushing ability. At some point, somebody becomes expendable and Frank may be the odd man out.

 

I could see us trading Alexander & a conditional pick (think like a future 7th) for Roos, if the Titans are still thinking about trading him. I've read that he's played well in camp and Titans may keep him at LT and let Lewan and Oher battle it out at RT. Time will tell...

The only problem with Roos, is he's making a lot of money. I just hope they cut him then we can sign him to a team friendly, vet deal and he'd want to come play for us. Only problem is he could choose wherever he wants to play.

Don't be so quick to throw hardy under the bus. He's really hungry this season and it would be unwise to get rid of him period.

The last thing I want is to get rid of hardy. I think he's gonna ball out this year, but if getts has done the number crunching and there's no way to sign him to a long term deal, I want to get something for him.
