I just started working for the new Bayern Munich office in NYC on the side and one of the first things they have asked me to do is create an official Bayern fan club in Charlotte. I now have an official Bayern Munich fan club and a Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/fcbcharlotte). I am working with OMB and Waldhorn to arrange a viewing parties for the club. If any of you guys are interested in joining the fan club please fill out the form here and I will send you an invite directly from Bayern. Joining is free and there are some cool perks like discounts on gear, access to the NYC office, free prizes and the only way to buy game tickets. Tell any friends that may be interested as well.

On a Panther related note, Graham Gano is a Bayern fan and interested in the fan club as well.

That is really cool dude, if I am ever in Charlotte on a matchday I will have to check it out.  Any idea if they will be starting a similar club in the Tampa area?

6 days ago: Borussia Monchengladbach 3 - 0 over Bayer Leverkusen

by Sam Tighe of England, Lead Writer at B/R, specialising in the Premier League, tactical analysis and scouting reports:

"In what was, definitively, the biggest game of this past weekend, Bayer Leverkusen lost 3-0 to Borussia Monchengladbach and in doing so kissed goodbye to their automatic UEFA Champions League hopes. Roger Schmidt's men will have to go through the pre-qualifiers early in the 2015-16 season.

There's been little to split the two sides this season, so to see the scoreline unfold so categorically in one direction was a huge surprise. It's hardly back-to-the-drawing-board stuff, but with Borussia Dortmund likely to be a lot better next year, Leverkusen need to get the summer spot on."

"What a win, what a seismic result for Borussia Monchengladbach! The 3-0 victory over Bayer Leverkusen hands Lucien Favre's men a sizable advantage in the race for an automatic Champions League spot. They will still harbour hopes of usurping Wolfsburg in second but can at least rest assured they're getting third. Patrick Herrmann and Fabian Johnson, from the flanks, were devastating in this match."

Gladbach and Wolfsburg with the auto qualifiers. Should make UCL group stages interesting with new German blood. Bundesliga is 11/11 in qualifying from group stage for the knockout round the last three years. Would be impressive to continue that trend with a couple new teams.

    • I think a lot of wrs are going to go in the second round before we pick.  There are a lot of wr needy teams.  I think there will be a big run on them in the late 30s and 40s.
    • Interesting that they met with Walker three times and Cam Jackson twice.
