Partial Summary of "Expert" Opinions on Panthers

I'm a fan of a team that has never had two winning seasons in a row... Ever. I think I deserve to be skeptical. This isn't a team headed up by Belichick and Brady.

You have a right to your opinion and skepticism. But you and many in the NFL I'm going to be shocked with the Panthers offense. Cam will have a career year, with the two TE set and ball control offense. The defense will be just as dominant or better.

Two things wrong with this. First. THIS team is still learning, growing, and knows how to win. THIS is not your father's team. So...failing to have another winning season is not necessarily a given.

Second. Even Brady and Billycheat were at a point where they had never had back to back winning seasons either. You have to start somewhere. There is every reason to believe that THIS team is ready to achieve that goal.

This is one reason I hate living in the past. It convolutes your thinking. THIS team has every chance to compete with anyone. Back to back winning season's is a very real possibility.

All of this is interesting, but my concern is overanalysis. Let us take, for a moment, the argument that many consider the Panthers as having the worst offense in the NFL. So what? Did the best offense help the Broncos win the Superbowl? If the goal of any football team is to win the Superbowl, than forget about what analysts say about offenses, defenses, and special teams. Theirs is only preseason speculation. Last year the Panthers were ranked at 27th in Espn Power Rankings after week 1. By week 16, they were ranked 4th.

Pregame rankings, statistics, predictions and analysis are fun exercises, but they are as valuable as being in a rocking chair: gives you something to do but doesnt get you anywhere.

I am excited about this season, and I am impressed with this team's progress. I do not need analysts and experts to spoil the excitement, hatred, frustration, love, and concern I feel on the edge of my seat each week. I am ready for the season because no matter what...every team starts the season 0-0.

I do find it priceless that both Matt Moore and Clausen are wayy ahead of Derek Anderson on the rankings..as If they left the Panthers bc they were too good.

Oh you didn't know? Haha. Just retweeted by Car Panthers News...

How the Fug is DA one of the worst backups in the league?! How do you even determine who the best/worst backup is in the first place when most of them dont even see the field? Other than Vick, what other backup QB out there has been to a pro bowl like DA? Yes, thats right. DA was once a pro bowl starting QB for Cleveland...FOR CLEVELAND for cryin out loud!

Dumbest fuggin poo I have read in recent memory.

You know by now not to confuse these hacks with facts.

Our WR corps sucks because we lost Lafell and Smitty? Cotchery had more TDs last year than Smitty and Lafell.. combined.

Some in the media refuse to look at the facts and act like we lost the 2005 version of Smitty,  and pretend that Lafell actually was a productive receiver for us.

I used to come home from work, turn on the TV, grab a beer, let the dog out of the house, smoke a cigarette, and cook some dinner everyday after work. NFL network was the cable box power on channel. This was my routine for over a year and during this time, NFL network was the only channel on until after dinner. Usually by this time I'd be tired of TV all together and do something else. I have just moved and I'll tell you two things that have changed since then..........I have quit smoking and I have no TV. Not watching that garbage has done more for my mental health than not smoking has done for my physical health. Combine the two and I feel like a new man (just like kelbin said).
