I got your Karma implications whether it was intended or not. Either way looking at the two pics and considering a broken nose vs a shoulder injury. What was your point again?

No. You may have made up your own Karma implications by reading into it what you wanted to. I was mainly just talking about the way they were sitting with their face buried in their hands. Btw, SS happens to be my favorite player. So I wouldnt think he "deserved" this or "had it coming". I wasn't trying to make a point. I just noticed similarities of the sitting. (which now I admit was kind of pointless.) I wasn't comparing injuries...

OK that's cool and in my mind no post is pointless, you're free to speak your mind. My first post was saying I couldn't see the similarity's at all, I missed what you saw. I'll admit I thought you was linking the two injuries and had to play a little (I'm a little bored). Is all good:)

Everyone needs to remember we'll be fine, if you think Steve Smith is the only reason we won games last year you need to quit watching football.

Umm I can recall a BUNCH of them that he did win for us, the ones that come to mind that he absolutely won for us was the Packers and Saints games.

I agree, smith keeps the opposing defense from stacking 8 guys in the box. They have to respect his deep speed and without him we don't have a deep threat with Muhammed and Jarrett being possession receivers. Maybe if he does miss a game or two (hopefully not the whole season) then we can muster a few wins like last year. Gary Barnidge could play a huge role if Smitty misses any regular season games.

Ryne and Goodson are nearly as fast as Smitty and are capable of fulfilling the deep threat role just fine. Even when people stacked 8 in the box against us last year we were able to run on them just fine.

Didn't we beat a couple of solid teams last year without Steve Smith? Not that I'm excited by his injury, but losing a receiver hardly puts us out of contention in a division like the NFC South. As long as Jake has a semi-capable option, and the backfield is healthy...we'll be alright.

They may be able to run, but can they feel Jake like Smith does? Carter could fly, but adjusting to the flutter ball (sorry not a big Jake fan) is a Smith specialty. I'm not saying someone else can't step up, but I feel much better with 89 on the field, and I can't understand how anyone can realistically spin it otherwise.

Ryne is a punt returner, do you think he'd ever have trouble adjusting to a ball? I find it funny that so many people try to talk badly about Jake's deep throwing abilities when he's one of the better QB's in the league at doing so...
