I guess this is the difference between living there and NO, we have some of the best food in the world.

Shrimp remoulade appetizer - Arnauds

Bowl of gumbo. - Prejeans

Pecan Crusted gulf fish. - Commanders Palace

Candied yams side - Barrecas

Jamabalaya - Mothers

White Chocolate Bread Pudding - Palace Cafe

If I can be fat and have 2 entrees for my last meal, add Blackened Redfish - Jacques-Imo's

If?

And lol at not thinking the Carolinas have some of the best places to eat in the world. I won't poo on NO because I'm a huge fan of cajun/creole food...but I know of two Top 10 restaurants in the nation located in the Carolinas (Hall's Chop House in Charleston and Fearrington Village in Pittsboro, NC, my home county). This according to Open Table if you want a source. Not to mention many, many others.

The finest sushi cuts I can find, fries from EBBG. And a bottle of Kettle One.

I've had a bunch of very fine sushi before in one sitting, and I shat straight seaweed diarrhea the next morning.  Do not recommend.

That said I'd probably want something extremely fatty and unhealthy that tastes delicious.

Deep fried buffalo chicken tenders with homeade ranch dressing, french fries with malt vinegar, and mint chocolate chip ice cream for desert.

True, but that would be the least of my worries for my final meal

It was just an observation that if you ask this to people here, a place know internationally for great food, the answers would look different than the chic-fil-a, fries, dunkin doughnuts, Mac and cheese answers given. That's not saying there aren't awesome places to eat over there, Emerils even just opened E2 over in Charlotte. Just sayin answers are more reflective that Charlotte is know for corporate banking and NO is known for great food and nightlife.
