Rivera: "Philly Brown is the biggest surprise/He’s done some things that make you go, Wow."

Usually you can tell what Rivera means by the context. I genuinely believe he likes Philly Brown. I don't know if he makes the cut though. If 5 wr's are taken, I don't think he beats out King or Bersin.

Bersins cooled off a bit, and if brown can add something in the return game he could be a big wildcard in that receiver depth chart

CBS Sports NFL Draft analyst Dane Brugler:

"When I saw (Philly Brown) live at the combine, I was sitting in the

stands watching the wide receivers go through their drills and

Brown was just moving at a different speed. He had a few extra

gears. He had the quickness and a speed element and his feet were

just electric. And that really stood out."

Corey Brown as a recruit out of Pennsylvania in 2010 (not to be

confused with the 2009 recruit out of PA also named Corey Brown):

Scout.com: "Brown is a back whose skill set I liken to Reggie Bush.

He is very dangerous outside the tackle box, has great speed and

frankly, projects as a wide receiver as much as a running back to the

next level. ... very elusive in the open field and has excellent hands.

Truly an “athlete” that can be used in many different ways to get

production out of."

ESPN: "Brown is a wonderful athlete blessed with speed and

change-of-direction skills. He splits duties at running back and wide

receiver, but his speed, build and ball skills will land him at wide

receiver at the next level."

Rivals: "(Brown is a) two-time all-state speedster from Philadelphia

… career numbers of 3,000 yards rushing, 1,500 yards receiving and

50 touchdowns scored … All-America sprinter who holds the

Delaware County 200m record (21.4) … all-state in track"

ESPN: "It's all about speed for Corey Brown. The receiver/running

back prospect, who one college recruiter described as "absolutely

electric," recently added success on the track to his list of

accomplishments. During his first season competing in the sport, he

finished fourth in Pennsylvania in the 100-meter dash (10.92

seconds in the state meet) and third in the 200 (21.69). The week

before the state meet, Brown won the 100 at the District 12

championship with a time of 10.54...His speed, playmaking skills

and versatility earned

Brown Under Armour All-American status.

...Many of the nation's top programs are chasing after Brown.

Currently, the defending national champion Florida Gators are

recruiting him the hardest, selling him on a role in their offense

similar to the one played by Percy Harvin...But then, it's not

surprising the Gators want Brown badly. Head coach Urban Meyer

said shortly after he arrived in Gainesville that he wanted to have the

"fastest team in college football." ... Also, given his versatility, a

Harvin-type role seems ideal for Brown."

his high school head coach Danny Algeo: "The kid is such a

tremendous athlete"

I told you guys Brown has a very good shot at making it. I have him as our #5/#6 behind KB, Cotchery, Avant, and King with him being tied with Pilares. Him and Pilares not only play WR but ST. Gives them the edge over others. Philly even plays 3 spots. Bersin hasn't done anything yet. Until he does, my picks will stay the same.
