agreed. CJ came into camp fit and ready to go. His absence in pre-season games is well deserved.

 

I know RR said starters will be in for the entire 1st half, but TD and Kalil only playing the 1st quarter would be fine by me.

If there is any doubt, just let him sit.  He is a known commodity.  He has nothing to prove and I thought Rivera said he showed up in great shape this year.

 

I don't see the point in risking it.

I'd like to see him get just a handful of game reps and rest up the rest of the time to:

 

A. keep him healthy and rested

B. give the younger guys the reps they NEED

Solidified first stringers really playing a whole half game 2? I'd be fine if they didn't play that much until game 4, I really don't see the point.

First stringers barely play in the 4th game cause it's right after the cut to 75 and before the 53 cut other string players get all game 4 to prove they are worth the 53 man roster.

Usually it's the 3rd game you see a big 1st stringer presence but Rivera has said he's treating this game like it is a 3rd game.

This is something I thought I'd never say about CJ, but bench his ass!!

You can't sit the entire preseason. CJ come back and he wont do poo in the beginning of the season for like the first 3 games. You need real game time under your belt especially for big men and CJ isn't a freak of nature

I would guess CJ plays two quarters against KC, and three quarters the following game, and then maybe a series in the the forth preseason game.
