I'm letting years of watching this dude get toasted in the pass game and take bad angles (while being slow) in the run game defense. Frame my opinion.

Mike Vick made a pro bowl (in Atlanta) and he had a passer rating under 70.

Julius Peppers made a few pro bowls with less then double digit sacks.

That popularity contest means nothing to me.

Show me where he made a All Pro team then we can talk.

only 1 of Peppers' 8 Pro Bwols was with less than double digit sacks.....and he took over games his first year Chicago despite not quite hitting double digits.

He doesn't need former All Pro status to meet the bandaid functional vet status we are looking for

Last time I checked you can win superbowls with average players, its all about what you build to be the strengths of your team. I dont know why some of you expect every player on the field to be All pro level.

The same can be said for Godfrey. He only played a game and a half behind this front 7.  But you don't want to hear that.

 

I've watched Harper for 6 or 7 years while the panthers schemed to attack him more then anybody on the Saints defense. Him putting on a Panther Jersey won't make me forget that. Harper sucks he is no better then Godfrey.

Godfrey isn't better in coverage. Only plays he ever makes are playing up at the line or catching random throws....the people claim he has never been a S is bc he can't figure out where to be. Never a talent issue he just can't play S

Godfrey has never figured out coverage as a S....there isn't a S in the NFL you can say he is way better than in coverage.

Harper is a better tackler than Godfrey...makes him a better SS. Both stink in coverage.
