Brockel and Williams...big part of the equation this year

Okay...so let's say Bell wins the position by default on Cams blind side.So unless they find someone better, then it's his to lose.Have a feeling that R.R. may be seeing these two as invaluable assists to save Cams ass this year, and either one will be seeing a lot of time picking off the pass rush on that side.Williams has learned to be very good at blitz pickup and Brockel is good in both blitz pickup and as a lead blocker.Throw in Stewart (hopefully) and you now have three that can pick up the blitz.I think they feel that once Trai gets it and Armini is back in game shape (with Kahlil), they will get stouter running up the middle. If they can buy Cam time in the passing game then the run game should benefit also.Four TE's make the final roster and supplement our pass protection in the backfield on a regular basis untill this line proofs they up to the task on their own.

Bell has done very well at LT thus far.  He's held his own against Hardy, CJ, and Alexander, and did pretty well in pass protection against Buffalo's pass rush.  If he keeps it up for the KC game, the rest of the season should be a lot easier for him after those tests.

Agreed..Bell holding his own so far...but let's not forget Trai as a first year rookie and Amini off a major injury..they will all need some help back there...at least we have guys stout enough to bail them out.

That's true.  Brockel is a freaking stud blocking in the back field.  I was watching him yesterday in blitz pick-up drills, and he can keep about anyone at bay.  He's by far the best in those situations.
