Not one fight in camp this year....not a punch thrown

When you have guys like Luke and T.D that lead by example instead of starting needless crap and getting asinine penalties..your good to go...some more guys will emerge on offense...they will listen to Cam and Kahlil. You don't need hot heads and ass hats to get respect from teammates and other players.

totally agreed. anyone that doubts TD and keek's and even hardy's ability to fire up the guys around them isn't paying attention...and those guys are also great at running their mouths at opponenents and what helps is that they do a good job of keeping control. ok, maybe not hardy, but he's still better than smitty, mitchell, and capt were.

you don't need that bad boy asshole thing going on, tho, for your team to dominate the other. you have to remember that if you play the "trying to get in their heads and make them make mental mistakes" game, you're likely going to be pushing the emotional envelope yourself and put yourself at risk of doing dumb poo. that's what what happened with the rams when we played them last year and what happened with us in the playoff game.

The biggest thing to me is the difference between us and atl last year when cam got hit late by the rams and Jordan pushed back and stuck up for him. Our whole team then systematically destroyed them both mentally and physically. The falcons meanwhile left Ryan to pick himself up.

I just want our guys to legitimately stick up for each other and have each other's backs in a game. I shudder to think of what kb would do if someone hit cam late or hurt him.

There's a fine line there.

You definitely don't want people fighting to the tune that it carries back into the locker room. However, skirmishes and some pushing and shoving is a good thing in my opinion.  The best teams I've ever coached have had some of that but the big key is they could leave it out on the field/court. Back in the locker room we were all a big family.

Some of the worst teams I've coached never had any pushing or shoving.  Just a little soft.

Rather or not teammates throw punches in training camp means nothing. How many of you have gotten into fights with siblings, or even your parents?

What kind of fights are you talking about? Kid stuff with sibs is way different than any kind of fight you should be in with a parent, unless it's an abusive situation and you're defending yourself. Hitting someone in the face with your fist is in a different league, fight wise, with the possibility of serious injury to head or hand. I'd have to disagree that punches between teammates mean nothing. Regardless of how the players involved feel, I'd be dead set against it if I were management. If nothing else, tolerating fights is likely to get you more personal fouls during games.
