Thanks for sharing man. You playing any sports or have a physical outlet? Hopefully not just a jogger.

Yeah, I play basketball at the rec center almost everyday and I do the stupid intramural sports every semester. I don't think the lack of exercise was the cause of the depression, it was just the result of the depression. I know a lot of my classmates that have gotten depressed due to a stressful workload and whatnot but this is yet to happen to me. I think the real problem is the isolating most people do when they get depressed, which is why I'm happy this thread exists. Depression is one thing but you have to talk to someone, if only to get whatever is depressing you off of your chest. Just talking with another human being is all a lot of people need. Otherwise you will continue to spiral.

the problem with the huddle is now i can't tell who's being serious and who's being huddley. maybe the OP was too melodramatic.

in seriousness, whatever you're going through, don't go through it alone - i welcome anyone to PM me, as i'm sure plenty of others do, if you need someone to talk to. even if it's just doofus huddle friends, we are ultimately here for each other.

Oh I've pissed off way too many people on here to be able to just approach anybody that way

Maybe you and a limited number of other people, but besides that I'm pretty sure the door is closed when it comes to most others

Oh im not saying you weren't exercising etc. I was seeing if you had a physical outlet first and from there the guys you play with, are they your peers or guys you can talk too?

Absolutely you have to talk but im trying to get an idea ob you do.

but yeah... we've all had our bad moments, and nothing helps more than having someone to vent to... It is easier when that person is a relative stranger that you hope wouldn't pass any judgements because they don't really know the person(s) involved. I'm always willing to offer advice (no matter how bad it would end up being) and I promise not to use anyone's information against them or judge them or anything like that.

I know I can be an asshole sometimes, but I do feel more of a bond with the Huddle peeps than I do with some associates IRL.

It seems kind of weird on the surface, but I've made what I consider life long friends on here... some people that I wouldn't hesitate going and talking to (and have done just that) if I need to.  I think some of them feel the same, at least I hope so...

I've had what I would consider very serious life conversations with people on here that I don't even really know all that well.

All joking and kidding aside I would do anything for you guys... well... not anything... (Johnny Rockets would come up with some crazy poo), but you know what I mean.

The last few years have been very tough on me, but I'm not going into here. That said, I have not gotten depressed because I know with just a little more hard work things will work out.....slowly. I am so close I'm too excited to be depressed. Maybe when I have time to look back and think about the last 5 years, I might get down, but not yet.

Hayden's pregnancy has bothered me more....

I am completely running out of time for women to pay me to take sexy pictures of them. I need to hire an assistant.

Definitely need a salesperson too

Edit: I fully support this thread! I love you all and am always here to help. I'm usually the one asking the advice- so thank you to everyone who has helped me in one way or another in the past 5 years. I very much appreciate it!

Double Edit: Unless you are a Steelers fan, I think I would just make your depression even worse
