looks like Bell and Williams at LT so far

Yeah, I like Philly Brown, but I don't know that he's ready, and Cason being our #1 corner is not worth the risk.

The interior being better is debatable, Turner is a rookie, and Silatolu is coming back from a season ending injury. As for Cam, I don't agree with that mindset. You never want to have to expect your QB to make up for his OL, certainly not on a regular basis, we need to protect him.

The interior being better is certainly not debatable, silatolu could play up to the level of what wharton did with experience and staying healthy, and trai is leaps and bounds better than chris scott.  Scott was easily our worst olineman last year and turner comes in immediately and takes his job.  And no you shouldnt expect your qb to make up for the oline, but cam has that ability and that is what will happen when the line breaks down.  That is the player that he is and thats a playmaker, hes not like eli, or peyton, he wont just take a sack, and the majority of the time he will make a play before he is sacked.  This is what happens even when no one expects cam to make up for the olines play.

All this instability again goes to show you Rivera and crew have no idea how to run an offense.  Yet I can't be too mad.  They did get Olsen and now Benjamin. (Also of course Cam.  I want to see him take the greatest step in his career this year)  Next year, Rivera better go after the best OC available, but I'll hold off on that until after the season.

Panthers tackle depth is pathetic.

Worst in the league by far. To think Garry Williams, at 6'3" and 310 lbs could be our starting RT or LT is pathetic and a slap to Cam's face. This FO completely ignored the OT position. No depth what so ever. At least they have thrown a few bodies at the OG position. But this is the worst group we have had in years.

Gross was 6'4'' and 300 lbs, yet a player that is 6'3" and 310 playing T is pathetic?

Come on man.

this is without a doubt one of the biggest doom and gloom threads i've read in a long on the huddle.

it's been 5-6 seasons since the panthers have had a respectable offensive line (2008)...and i can't remember the last time the panthers had decent depth anywhere on the offensive line. there was zero depth in 2008. carolina just got lucky, and for the most part everyone stayed healthy for the whole season.

how about letting things play out before announcing the death of cam newton.

Come on man.

Jordan Gross was a special kind of talent, Garry Williams is not. Name backup or starting tackles that are 6'3 or shorter.

This comment right here is completely ridiculous, blaming it the front office for losing gross and Wharton and everyone else for retiring and choosing to keep our strengths a strength in order to keep the core if the team strong. This same FO are the ones that gave you this defense, the same ones who gave you kelvin, you know the guy you all drool over(rightly so). This is the first season where gross hasn't been with the team and has jus now became a legitimate issue and to say the FO has done nothing make no sense. Give them a chance, maybe they thought they had it on the roster and wanted to evaluate them before wasting picks on a guess. He could of drafted an OT and if so who would we have lost instead? KELVIN, EALY? How do you know they don't have an eye on nabbing someone after the cuts, I would take their talent evaluation of our opinions anyday, and whose not to say that next years key points won't be oline now that every other position Is solid and they can spend more picks on these positions. We had to many needs this draft they filled one and I'm thankful because to expect a FO to fill every need in a draft and them all pan out is absolutely ridiculous... With our track record in drafting you would think that would be obvious. Every team has holes, and sometimes guys step up who you wouldn't expect much like I think bell will and if we get a solid RT, and some depth our line will be serviceable.

Looking at D.G watching the lineman every practice I have been to and the pictures posted today on 8/11 training camp wrap up.......he is seeing the problem first hand....expect some OL signings after the 53 cuts...

Finally some logic from our fan base, I thought it was nothing but streams of running tears Because our FRONT OFFICE didn't draft the next Jordan Gross the immediate year following his retirement. You didn't know we were suppose to replace every player we lost with pro bowlers who cost less than 3 million a piece and no less than a third round draft pick...bunch of hurneys on

This board man I'm telling you, half of them

Prob would have sold their soul for another Jeff Otah this draft and then blame on the FO when he turns out to be a turd after banging the table to get him...every year man same ole whining and complaining

To be fair, Jeff Otah was fuging amazing when he played. There weren't many better when he was healthy.
