Anti Vrius on PCs

Hotsauce

Recommended Posts

I've worked with numerous PCs where Norton was one of or the main reason why the person's PC was so slow. Once I removed it, it was like a whole nother PC.

I got I7 with crazy ram so I got nothing to worry about.  I can run Norton scan, listen to Youtube or Pandora and play video games all the same time.

Bitdefender has been a favorite of mine for almost a decade... Or so it seems.. Avant or Avg has had great reviews if you're going the cheaper route. Tried avg and preferred it over Avant...

Before you download Norton, send me your credit card info (PM me, let's not be ridiculous and do anything stupid on a public forum) and I'll hook it up with cheap, high quality Internet Security..

I tell my Norton when to do it and how to do it.

That's fine, but you're still unnecessarily taking up too much space by using it fyi.

Last time I paid for AV was Kaspersky which at the time was the best according to a Consumer Reports and never had a problem with virus or performance while using it. After it expired, I've used the free Microsoft Security Essentials. On the other hand, my moms computer got full of shareware that had it bogged down. The only thing that has worked short of reinstalling everything from scratch is using Spyhunter from Enigma software, a little pricey, but works great.

Haven't run any sort of antivirus on my home PCs is years.  Its remarkably easy to avoid malicious software.

At the office we use Kaspersky (130ish workstations) and beyond the occasional browser hijacker we have been without significant indecent in 4 or 5 years now.

    • Ravens coach John Harbaugh said “I’m going to have to wait” when asked about Diontae Johnson’s availability following Week 13’s loss to the Eagles. This comes a day after Harbaugh declined to comment on Johnson’s availability immediately after the loss when he said, “I’m not really ready to comment on that right now. I will be, but I don’t have enough information right now.” Whatever “information” Harbaugh needs is a mystery to most, but maybe he’ll gather that intel during the team’s Week 14 bye. Since being acquired by the Ravens’ at the trade deadline, Johnson has run 19 routes while playing on 39 offensive snaps. Johnson didn’t see the field in Sunday’s loss despite Rashod Bateman exiting early with a knee injury. Bateman’s injury isn’t believed to be long-term, but it will be interesting to see if Johnson sees an increase in playing time should Bateman miss a game or two
    • Wouldn't 300 yards and 2 TDs passing be considered "lighting it up" vs. the Eagles?  I take "lighting it up" to be an exceptional performance, not just NFL standard play. Don't you?
    • This must be one of his more popular videos because he drops these Bryce so quickly.
