I am not the biggest Gilmore fan, I like McKelvin a little more. But, I cannot imagine Gilmore being intimidated. The guy plays without emotion or expression. Go back to the time he was drafted he is on stage showing no emotion and you'll be hard pressed to find a press conference where he is smiling or showing any emotion.

I mean would you be happy if Buffalo drafted you? He was probably on stage thinking "I've got to go to Buffalo?"

It is preseason.  Want to see something more hilarious go look at Denver over Seattle in the preseason games.  Headlines reading that the Broncos got revenge for the SB loss will make you chuckle more then anything.

I'm not sure what you're saying, I guess I don't have time but will take time to check this.  I'm not sure how you're bringing Crotchery in to this because he was not a Panther last year.

 

Anyway, the Panthers had 6 more yards passing then Buffalo in 2013.  That spun my head.  We started scrubs at QB for 6 games and Manuel didn't exactly look flashy.  Sure, you had your best guys put up more numbers but your TE had more yards then your WR, just like Buffalo.  Now your number 1 WR is gone and a new rookie takes over.

 

If I discredit my own team, which I will do in 2013 I will discredit the Panthers passing game, too.  And I will do so successfully.

 

Plus, look at the rushing stats.  1893 yards by our two backs.  Your single back only got 843, he'd have been 3rd on our team.

 

You lost what little credibility you had when you said you use Bleacher Report.

 

I don't read bleacher.  I prefer CNNSI and ESPN Deportes for my football news.

I think the best 2 WRs from this year's draft were on the field last night.

I am not going to disagree because I hope so, but it will not matter if no one can get Watkins the ball and it will not matter if the only one down field is Benjamin.

Score board.  We won.  An insignificant game last night and we won.  Twice in less then one year we beat the Panthers :feelsgoodbra:

 

Anyway, Benjamin should not have even turned at that point.  The route was to the EZ, when he turned he slowed and I know, myself included, people poo on Gilmore but he is fast.  Gilmore caught up enough to get his hands on him and Benjamin foolishly turned back and put his arm back.

the second best team in the league in rushing in 2013 only got better at running the ball in 2014.  We will have no problem running the ball in 2014.

 

and we're not going to Toronto.  I will bet the farm on it.  Literally.  a couple hundred acres bet on it.

I always get my non biased opinions from SB nation.  That Michelle Beadle and Skip Bayless, they're on point.

 

If you want real insight to another team and what is going on - and are patient in reading it because you realize they're fanatics just like you - search for the better team forums and you'll get insight.

 

In the popular two bills forums I frequent there isn't even one thread about Gilmore getting beat, there isn't much of a mention at all.  Why?  No one really cares he got beat on one play in preseason.  We know his capabilities based on his career thus far and one play in a scrimmage is not indicative of ability.

 

This was big for Panthers fans and KB fans because this is just one of a small sample size that has been seen.  His first game, limited snaps, and he did that.  That's something that should make a Panther fan smile.  But, don't hang your hat on just that one little play in a preseason game against what NFL pro's label as one of the better emerging CB's in the league.  He isn't Haden, Peterson, or Sherman, but he is getting better and improved drastically in 2013.

Anyway, I think I've made enough of my opinions here - and keep in mind, they are just opinions and not fact - just like everyone else is sharing here.  We are all fans of our teams and that just means we are fanatics.  So, say what you want about my opinions I doubt I will reply anymore to this thread unless there is something of particular interest to reply to - and that is above just the average "he got balls in his mouth, herp derp dat ass got whooped" 13 year old behind a keyboard statement.

it was preseason game, ask anyone in your chat room last night, i was getting lots of crap talk about the score and panthers winning, i said i didnt' care.  it's preseason, i don't care.

 

but it is nice, your team is compassionate - ya know, it reminds me, football is such a great sport, teams letting the other team beat them and all to be nice!  thanks to the panthers for letting us win two games!   Well, 5 times.  We're 5-1 against ya'll when it matters.  See, the Panthers are really really great sports, laying down like that.

 

I felt bad for Watkins getting drafted there.

Why am I not surprised that a Bills fan is here gloating about winning a preseason game by 2 points, lol.

I am not gloating, and I've been here since last year before we won that won, too.  It's not gloating.  a loss sucks, but whats to gloat about, there was a lot of good things done by the panthers last night - specifically the run blocking.  that's more concern to me, the bills run defense, then the score.  it was horrible.

I'm a narcissist so I don't give a f*ck if anyone cares.

However, that you all pretend I am a wet blanket of reality and refuse to believe that the play was a anomaly, well, I can't understand that.

It was a great play but should not have happened. A better defense or running an actual defensive scheme would have stopped it.

Someone's starting to sound like Alice lite.
