Ealy was manhandled all night.  Made one play along with an LB at the goal line.

 

Often quit on plays, maybe due to being winded.

2nd round picks are pretty much automatics to make the team.

I was happy with everything but run blocking and KR/PR

 

The run blocking was fuging horrible.. I think people are ragging on Barner a little too much. The OLine just couldn't run block tonight.

Add Brown. Showed that he can be a gunner and not just a receiver or returner.

I thought Ealy played ok. He had some decent plays. Norman had some bone head decisions, I saw twice where he got scrappy after the play.

Godfrey, Barner and gay had a horrible game. I could say that all our running backs had a bad game but I noticed that Barner just doesn't have the determination that Reaves has.

Also not good for Underwood. I didn't even see him on the field today.

I forgot about philly laying the wood on the punt returner. I didn't know he could do that. He needs to play well on special teams to make the roster, so good for him.

Also yes Ealy looked bad on some plays and did look winded but he had some pressure and made a few plays as well. He may take some time to get used to the physicality of the game which is expected from first year DEs.

Though I agree that the run blocking wasn't quite right, I still don't believe that barner has the ability to be an NFL RB. Good running backs in the league even when running into clogged holes usually come out with a yard or two everytime barner runs into someone his momentum immediately stops. Even reeves manged

To make a few plays out of nothing that's what a good back does, I jus don't think barner fits

Our system he's more of a slot receiver if anything and even then his hands were

To me credit to him tho the man can take a hit with the best of them.

Norman is always hard for me to peg one way or another. He does make some poor plays, but he usually makes up for it (at least in pre-season). Call me crazy but I actually enjoy someone in our secondary showing some fire and intensity. In the regular season it may cost us but right now I like to see passion out there especially when a guy is fighting for his livelihood.
