Should King be with first string?

King deserves an upgrade in competition. I was eating the 3's alive. He had plenty of separation on every play.

I'd love out WR depth Chart to be:

 

1) Benji

2) Cotchery

3) King

4) Bersin

5) Avant

 

That just being based off this one game but I have really high hopes for King and Bersin

 

Between Benjamin, King and Bersin, I'm not even worried about the futire of our WRs. They are all different type receivers and have great skill sets. Main thing being they all catch the football, and turn forwards up field. Excited about it

He was aggressive out of his breaks and really attacked the ball...he is taking this preseason for real.

Absolutely... the more he is on the field which is pretty much his first time... he is getting better. He is a great WR.. He has a lot of haters on this board but TK is a great guy first of all and makes some great snags. I hope the best for him on this team

It's best to give him reps with the 1st string while Cam is playing and see if him and Cam can get it done.

He has earned a look. You never know how he is going to perform with Cam throwing him the ball unless you put him out there for some snaps. And he has put in more work than just the half of football you saw, btw.

I too think King will end up as our main "speed" receiver.  He's had glowing camp reviews while Underwood is proving why he hasn't been able to find a home in the NFL.

 

I think everyone is beginning to see why we completely dumped our WR corps and didn't bring in a big name FA.  Coaches and Gettleman were seeing young, hungry guys in practice that they believed could play in the NFL.

 

Keep in mind that quite a bit of these young guys' reps haven't been with Cam.  They are only going to do more when that man takes the helm.

Not slow, but not a speedster. 4.47 seconds in the 40 from the combine. Underwood ran 4.31.

With Underwood not impressing we just may not have a speed guy this year.

Unless Underwood is that bad, or someone else is nearly as fast as him, I feel the Panthers will keep him, just as a deep threat.

King is speedy enough hes not slow not even close. He would be considered a speed guy, and we need one who can catch.

For me, Cotchery is a low-2/high-3 on most teams.  Avant is a high 3/low 4.  I think King will be the #4 WR, but get rotated in and be utilized much the way Lance Moore was when the Saints high-octane days.
