Working on a new script.

Just completed my first draft of my next project. I've never done comedy before but I'm taking a break from drama and gonna try my hand at humor. It's about two childhood friends who after a long break from "competitive gaming" want to try to break into it again. It's foul, raunchy and can be hard to follow if you don't know too much about video games. It's a passion project I've been thinking about for a while so I'm going for it. If you're interested in hearing more about it want to take a look at the script please PM me your email and I'll send it right over.

I really hope to improve from my last project so critiquing is welcomed and encouraged. Whether it be script writing, casting, audio, cinematography etc. I love hearing feedback. Some of you gave me some great advice on my last "film" and I am going to use it to my advantage this time around. There are quite a few great people on this forum. Thanks guys and I'll leave a link to my last work below.

I misread your post and I thought the video you posted was the comedy about the two friends trying to get back to competitive gaming. The whole time I was watching it, I was thinking "He said it might be hard to follow but how the Hell is this about video games and where is the comedy?."  :)

I have a question....for the music that you use, do you have to pay some sort of royalty for it? Figured that for something like this on youtube you don't have to but wasn't sure. Just curious.

Haha yeah sorry if that was confusing the video was a drama I did for college. Also no since I wasn't going to enter it into any festivals nor was I profiting from it I didn't pay any royalties. In the future I will either need permission or come up with original content.

I just use Microsoft Word. Keep thing separate by bolding actions and using italics for narration etc.

idk if it'd help you or not, but scrivener has a phenomenal scriptwriting feature that absolutely blows microsoft word away. i was very hesitant to switch word processors over halfway into my project but it's the best thing that ever happened to it. so much more conducive to the creative process

Hey Dex. I have been watching these recently, and thought I would send this to you. Every Frame a Painting does really thoughtful technical analyses of film making. I've learned a lot about shot composition and editing techniques from watching these and I thought you might enjoy them.

BTW, if you're still looking to get a script reviewed, be sure to drop me a line.
