Wrapping Up Aug 5th and TC Follies

There are a few things I wanted to cover that I didn't have time for this morning.

Cam Newton is becoming the teacher. On one particular play Tuesday Kelvin Benjamin ran a route incorrectly. Cam pulled him aside and instead of teaching him the route, he teaches him the QB drop back and explains the timing. These are things Cam was learning three years ago. He can use his own experiences to get through to Kelvin.

#83 Marcus Lucas impressed me at fan fest and that has continued. I see him making more plays than #15 Marvin McNutt thus far.

But McNutt has made a few catches. #32 Anderson Russel hits him in the thighs and glances off.

This team runs the ball too. It's just very hard to comment when most guys aren't tackling. Here we see #34 Deangelo Williams take the hand off and in a flash he's weaved through traffic. Zoom in for some titanic battles.

#43 Fozzy Whitaker looked like he might have a nice gain. Then he cuts to the outside with impressive speed. #56 AJ Klein loses the edge to #60 Kevin Mathews. Or was he held?

#13 Kelvin Benjamin is not just Cam's buddy. Here he has a laugh with #20 Antwan Cason during punt return drills.

Rereading my note about #11 Tiquan Underwood, I didn't give enough positive observations. He's pretty good at getting open and he does catch most of the passes.

Ed Dickson had a nice touchdown catch too where the Panthers used big personnel with play action near the goal line.

#37 Byndum making a nice catch in position drills.

The rest of the pictures are kind of silly things I saw going on in the background.

We start with the Gano ballet.

Joe Kenn is present in almost all my shots. He is the whistle blower.

He is the rubber band man.

Not every picture works out the way you planned it.

I don't like to draw attention to fans as a courtesy but this Fan's identity is safe.

I call this the Birth of Luke.

This just made me think of Lionel Richie's "Hello"

That's all I have for now. Go Panthers!

    • First of all Sooners fan? Mods? Second if you think someone needs a specific reason to hate Texas you don’t watch real college football.
    • 100% even if rest of team is really talented if they march young out to be qb and he plays like he has for 90% of his starts the panthers have already lost doesnt even matter how good the rest of the team is or isnt and also makes it hard to even tell how good they are.  They need true competition for young this offseason.
    • It will be awesome to have an improved stadium to lose in I guess....   https://www.yahoo.com/news/panthers-file-rezoning-bank-america-111500840.html     The Carolina Panthers have taken another necessary step toward renovating their home of the present and future. Panthers Stadium, LLC, filed its rezoning site plan with the city of Charlotte on Monday, initiating an important — if mostly technical — step toward renovating Bank of America Stadium. The filings state that the rezoning relates “primarily to technical aspects associated with improvements to Bank of America Stadium,” and that the rezoning is required because “the current stadium zoning is out of date” for the team’s stadium renovation plans.   The planned stadium updates include new seats installed throughout the upper and lower bowls; stadium safety and security enhancements; a reimagined South Lawn Pavilion; upgraded restrooms; exterior enhancements (including LED video boards) and more. Planning for the stadium renovation project will continue through 2025, with construction starting in 2026 and the renovation’s conclusion in 2029, The Observer previously reported.
