HBO's Hard Knocks with the Atlanta Falcons

I usually really enjoy Hard Knocks.

 

This episode was just meh, though.

 

Seemed very contrived and planned. Like Stephen Jackson's speech, obviously rehearsed.

yet he still stumbled through it... douglas is a softy... person #45 is the toughest on the squad yet not the brightest in terms of keeping composure. i really hope tolbert trucks him if he decides to "rise up"

I thought it was entertaining, but probably the worst hard knocks I've ever seen.  I still think a mediocore Hard Knocks is pretty good.

 

The coaches are definitely aware of the cameras. I think I even heard Mike Smith "shhh" the RB coach when he told him about Steven Jackson's injury.

 

 

A few takeaways: 

 

Harry Douglas is hilarious to me

 

Roddy White is a loud mouth idiot

 

Falcons Oline is still soft - "did you hear what that rookie called me?!"

 

Matt Ryan is a goober and no one really likes him

the only player i think i'm going to like in this show is the rookie rb from fsu. seems like a good kid.

 

and seriously it does seem like nobody likes matt ryan. it's kind of weird. and they have nice apartments for training camp while our guys are in dorm rooms.

 

they are a pampered team.

I kinda find it hilarious that the falcons say they want to be yogi this year but one of their players uses woman's deodorant.

Not to mention all the fights during camp which could mean no control of team. Next week the coach discusses the fights so we will see.

Wow... ok that's the first time I've ever watched ANY episode of Hard Knocks. (I don't pay for HBO) And, that was kinda hard to watch.

The comments from everyone yesterday kept ringing in my ears as I watched the show and I found myself shaking my head a lot saying "They were right".

Other than that, it was kinda boring and hard to really focus on, as it was just kinda blah to me.

I had to laugh at the whole Roddy talking to Osi thing tho.

Some of the ones in the past are good.

I think Hard Knocks is about dead. Falcons might be the nail.
