Before newton came, the whole beat writers where shiit. He save the beat, then reed started to report more panthers stuff and bill added his ways too. So be happy for those three, before them was a dark time.

Like others have said, Newton is a decent reporter and compared to who we had before he is a major upgrade.  He gets a little bogged down in the "feel good" story lines and likes to glaze things up brighter than they might actually be in his articles, but I can't fault him for trying to get people to read his columns.  Most of the Panthers beat writers and reporters are pretty good except Joe Person who I'm pretty sure lives at a Lowes because he's such a tool.
