Panthers Madden 15 Ratings

Regular season?

Jordan only had sacks in 9 games. After week 11, he had only 3 sacks, all against Byron Bell.

I see what I did wrong. The chart that pops up on google includes playoff games. I just ran down the chart and counted every time I saw a 1 and up. I didn't even pay attention to the games. Apologies all.

As for the other stat, couldn't we play that game with Hardy too? Through 14 games he had 8 sacks. He picked up 3 in the first half of a game against a rookie making his first start for NO (he didn't sniff Brees in the second half) and picked up 4 the next week against the turnstiles that Atlanta deployed last year.

Anyway, like I said, both are great at what they do. Hardy is a beast. But so is Cam.

This

"Hardy had at least 1 sack in 8 games.

Jordan had at least 1 sack in 11 games"

+

Hardy plays the "run" game while Jordan is in a Ryan's wild blitzing Defense.

I was wrong about the first number. I included playoff games on accident. Should have been paying more attention.

As for the second assertion, the Saints and Panthers were in the bottom half of the league in blitzing according to PFF. Saints blitzed 28% of the time and Panthers 26%. Ryan didn't blitz as much as he usually does last year.

It depresses me to know scientists have formulas to calculate happiness, perfect ass, and if a movie is scary but Madden ratings are done by some jerk off

I need to hear more about this "perfect ass formula"...

I am used to be a Carolina Phann and I completely disagree with you. The sports media is about sports ratings. They will have to discuss the teams that are winning. They don't have to like them but they will have to include them in their conversations. They will however continue to throw doubt, that's that ratings thing again. Everybody loves a winner...

Oh really? They must have missed the memo that we were 12-4 last year. I don't recall any extra respect or coverage. I specifically remember them talking about our Division and never really mentioning us, other than their usual snide remarks.

I tell you one thing: If there is even an once of freezing like there has been on the last two madden games I got... I am going to personally e-mail EA the game and tell them to stick it up their a$$.

I got Madden 13 for the PS3 and was fine for a while in Offline CC but as soon as I received updates it semi-freezes on loading screen. Then I got Madden 25 on my Xbox 360 (because I didn't trust my ps3) and again (WITHOUT UPDATES) freezes my offline CC.

Just completely frustrated.

Panthers rushed 4 throughout the year. We already know how the Ryans like to blitz.

2nd in division to Saints, madden thinks we went 13-3 as well. Also, Newton is an 89, luck is an 88 and wilson is an 93. The one that really got me fired up is Kuechly being a 94 overall (3rd best MIDDLE linebacker) behind both 49ers. Not only a DPOY last year but ROY 2 years ago. No love. Kelvin Benj is a 71 overall, which is also fugged up considering Armanti was a 71 his rookie season. Then again, the Madden ratings "czar" is a bucs fan, which would explain their way to high rating.

I wouldn't call the Kuechly thing a snub. They called him the best linebacker in the announcement, and said the only reason he is lower is they gave him an 84 in block shedding. He's only two points lower than the Niners linebackers and rates equal or above them in pursuit, tackling, and play recognition (99 in each).

Positive points:

*AJ Klein is rated quite favorably.

*Star and Short are about right.

Biggest complaints:

*How is Silatolu only a 76?

*How on earth is Kony Ealy rated better than Mario Addison?

*All our backs (34, 28, 35) are WAY underrated in terms of catching. They should all be at least 75+ given how well they performed last season.

Other notes:

*O-line and secondary are as bad as I expected.

*Where are the kickers?

Klein is rated as a 69. Too low imo.

I'm pretty sure that I said winning consistently in my 1st post. We had a winning season this year. The NFC South has not had a team to win the division back to back. Our media attention will change once we win consistently, year to year establishing a reputation of being and or becoming a winning organization.  Until we can do that, we will get what we have from the media.
