Cam makes nice with Peter King

Again apples and oranges. BTW I hate little Tommy and Pey Pey. Rogers not so much.

I know it's apples and oranges that's why I added the when Cam starts winning championships remark. That's the only perceivable difference between the two.

Again apples and oranges.

So a guy/2nd yr pro, plays well, practices hard, represents his team well off the field, gets in no trouble, and then expresses how bad he hates to lose (in maybe not the best manner) for/after a few tough games, and is all of a sudden immature??

Meanwhile you ignore comparisons of others who've done the same or more (Tom Brady, Manning, etc.), calling it "apples to oranges". Hell, Steve Smith sulked the same year--a few games later, and Thomas Davis cried in the locker room in front of reporters; both during the same year after tough loses.

EVERY PLAYER IN THE NFL (especially young ones) have sounded that way at one time or another after tough loses. No one is perfect. Cam was over scrutinized at the time (as you're doing now/the Natl media tends to be with Cam).

Can you say "Double Standard?"

Its' not "Apples and Oranges". It's the same thing actually.

The difference is: we give those guys a pass. and it's not  just because they've won in my opinion.

We do it, because we weren't' taught to think negative of them (such as another QB) before they came into the league. That's the difference with Cam.

Most QB's are allowed to grow and make mistakes. If Cam speaks to a former GM about the previous offensive Philosophy/OC during a practice, it's gets printed on a network website with digs at Newton, accompanied with sensationalism, and passionate Haterade from commenter's.  That's the difference.

The whole Icon and Entertainer slight (and the media's response to it, along with others) was all overblown nonsense directed at Cam as well.

You bring up a good point. That's why I said a few post above that even if Cam wins a championship I doubt it will stop the haters because some people are just conditioned to think everything he does has a negative angle to it.

Yeah, ummm, no. Winning a Super Bowl shouldn't disqualify anyone of 'negative' behavior If Cam isn't allowed to pout and Cutler isn't allowed to tear into his teammates then neither Peyton, Rodgers, and Brady should get a pass.

You know as well as I do that what should happen and what does happen are two very different things.

It doesn't really matter that it's not fair or right or good.  Reality is that guys who have established themselves as 'winners' are going to get a pass on a--hole behavior.

Complain about it as much as you want, but don't expect it to change anytime soon.

(or ever)

Was this on espn or radio?[/quote

On PFT, Mike Florio, Jason Taylor and 2 other cats were doing the "Analyze This" segment. They all basically said Cam was stupid and couldn't learn a "real playbook", Jason Taylor said Cam only needed 3 plays at Auburn. They also said Cam is showing that he's still immature by throwing Chud under the bus like that. Oh and they conveniently left out Cam saying it helped him become the QB he is today.

That's our fair media.

Meanwhile, if another QB said that (practically any QB) there would be nary a mention of it.

It's all in the context and the moment. But of course never with Cam.

Secondly, do we really believe the likes of RG3, Kaepernick, Dalton (hell even Luck) could remember most or all the plays, playbook?? Come on. That's why their criticism is total nonsense.

The biggest irony: Newton doesn't even has a wristband, so he knows more of the plays then all those guys do. SMH

My point was that Tom Brady or guys like Bellicheck never grew out of how bitchy they act when they lose. Maybe the media will be a lot more lenient to Cam once he starts winning championships but for some reason I doubt it.

I agree with you on that IG.
