How can you not love Thomas Davis

Yesterday after practice a young man wanted his Georgia Bulldogs football signed by Thomas Davis, who of course played both linebacker and safety for Georgia.

 

Cam Newton tried to get in on the signing, but Davis was not having it. Not many players on the team have the clout to deny Cam, but apparently Davis does.

I always had a special appreciation for TD because he would sign for the fans at the end of the fence. Far away from the campers. He missed a training camp or two during his injury bouts and he was still out there signing with a golf cart close by.

I love Steve Smith. Favorite player of all time... But when TD hangs them up or leaves there's a better than good chance I shed a tear. Man is the embodiment of "Keep Pounding" and outside of the game he is nothing but a class act. Love this guy.

TD is like Cam and Kuechly.  You expect something special to happen if they are around the ball.   For 3 knee operations it is amazing how quick and fast this guy is.

 

Off the field.   Wow an amazing man.  That little kid will have this story to tell his kids ones day.  Hopefully another generation of Panther fans to follow.   I concur with SteveSmith89.   I would most likely shed a tear for this guy when he hangs them up.  Definitely a ring of honor guy for sure.

A great example of the right kind of guy not getting the press he deserves, especially nationally.

 

If he were coming off a drug addiction or murder trial he'd be getting more play from ESPN and all, which is a true shame.

 

I'm sure it doesn't matter to him, which just solidifies what kind of man he is.  Hell of a football player, even better man.
