Training Camp Wrapup - August 1

Hence the reason that knowledgeable fans don't expect most rookies to come in and dominate right away. There is a steep learning curve and pro players are often bigger and stronger with better technique. I would have more surprised if he had come in and held his own right away.

That goes against my theory of hearing that Saints safety on the radio and thinking, 'Kelvin is going to throw you to the ground and do a touchdown dance on your career'

Kelvin may be the exception to the rule.  He is an athletic anomaly.  Still he will only get better and better  as he gains experience.  Guys like Ealy aren't exceptional large or an athletic freak so they don't stand out.  Guys that have exceptional speed or bring something unique to the situation are going to fare better than the average rookie.

I think ealy will probably be a 3rd down specialist his first year, rush from the inside, I think he'll be fine this year

Benjamin has been getting a lot of praise from the team, so Chase Blackburn figured he should take him down a few notches. Blackburn heckled Benjamin a bit in a good natured way. Blackburn is probably the most outspoken player on the team.

I like how his tattoo says "Kelvin" with flames around it. Found it amusing.

The other side has Benjamin with the same style

Look at our thug QB. It is obvious that he is the most arrogant and selfish player in the league. I mean, who does he think he is celebrating with his teammates and staying after practice? Great job as always! It always makes me feel like I was there with the awesome pics.

Seeing that Ricky Proehl tweeted a link to this thread can we cut out the thug remarks even if they are sarcasm? It doesn't look good when people from the panthers organization or families of the panthers players read stuff like that and either can't tell it's sarcasm or just straight up don't like it.

Outstanding Job as usual.   I know I mirror many of our out of area fans.    These write ups make our days.   Before I do anything in the morning the wrap-ups are my first read.     I have been on a few other teams forums over the years and I don't see the leadership we have here.   I truly believe this in one of the better team forums in the NFL.

Your write ups and opinions are well founded.  The SCP new week outlook on the "Next" opponents are epic and the other Mod/contributors are good writers.

Your pictures are amazing.  Some of the best sports photos I have seen.   That NO game with Kuechly in the rain is still one of the greatest sports photos I have ever seen.

Calm down. It was one little sarcastic remark. If people get worked up over that, then they are living life way too seriously.

Did you read all of what I wrote? I know you are being sarcastic. I meant that other people who are close to the players or panthers organization can misinterpret it or straight up not like it. It's a small thing to drop that shouldn't be a big deal really.
