I third this. It's just something I love to do. Writing about the Panthers takes it over the top. It does make me slightly apprehensive, though. I've never really let many people read my stuff.

I wouldn't be opposed to doing it the old way where you could pay to have a premium membership with the proceeds, ideally, going to the improvement of the site.

 

I personally have no problem paying a little to cover the expenses Jeremy is incurring for all the time spent in Spartanburg.

i feel like donations are going to reach a critical mass very early on. your average huddler is unlikely to actually shell out cash, and the few that will are very unlikely to do it more than once or twice.

I'm sure your work is great. Sometimes, we just have to step out of our comfort zones and take a giant leap of faith. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

That is actually a very good idea Zod. 

 

But, it almost seams that all user articles should reside in a separate category or section of the website.

 

All users would post in this section called "User Articles". The highest 2 or 3 rated should be featured on the front page.

 

In this User Article section a reader should be able to sort by author, highest rated (weekly, monthly, all time), or highest donated. 

 

Just a few ideas.

I would not use paypal. Paypal is notorious for fuging people over, and not caring. I honestly don't have a better alternative, but I would be wary of paypal
