I wouldn't say he sucked when he did it, but I'll grant that he didn't have top-tier breakaway speed:

But before Ginn, I really liked Mark Jones. He was never really a threat to take it to the house, but that dude always cleanly fielded kicks and punts and almost always picked up decent yardage.

This just highlights how bad he is. The blockers created a huge freaking hole and he couldn't even get passed the punter.

Those punters are a shifty group. Always tucked away, never really saying much, and always jacked on caffeine. I wouldn't want to meet one in a dark alley
