Cam and high throws.

certainly without a doubt it is his obvious flaw. not that it matters but he wouldn't catch so much media crap if he corrected it. at the end of the day, i'd rather him thrown too high where no one catches it than throw 17-21 INTs on a season.

While he is coming off surgery, you can make the case that he has something else going on.

When you overthrow a 6'5" receiver by the same amount you overthrow Steve Smith, then there could be an issue.  Just getting taller receivers might not help that situation. Steve Smith contended with 10' throws, Olsen and Benji might not have an issue catching them, but now they are even higher.

We will just have to watch and wait.

You take the good with the bad with young QBs.

Peyton Manning threw a crapload of picks until he was 27 years old.  Cam is 25.  Maybe he won't ever correct the issue but the fact is you just gotta accept the bad along with the good sometimes. Give him time.

In regards to the Peyton Manning talk, he did not become a consistently accurate passer in the NFL each year until his sixth season. Plus he had four years at Tennessee to help him adjust to the NFL. Cam had one year at Auburn, and he's only played three NFL seasons so far.

Cam can make all the throws, but he is still working on his consistency.

He knows his flaws, the leadership that he has been showing so far this off season clearly shows that he gets it, and is embracing it. His ankle is recovering, and he is trying to get on the same page with a pretty much entirely new group of wide receivers. Give the man time.

The bad news is that Cam will probably throw about as many high throws as he has in previous seasons.

The good news is that we now have an o-line that can properly block our read-option, which means we're going to run it a lot, and fans are going to be cheering like duggone Jesus came back.
