Cam and high throws.

Olsen is 6'5 I think and he missed him a couple of times last season. I think I remember one in the playoff game. Heck he even did that today in practice. I doubt it's all about height.

Olsen has a 36inch vertical, while Benjamin has a 42.5inch vertical...a young Steve Smith had a 38inch vert.

Exactly. And for those saying bum ankle blah blah did u not watch panther games last season? He always had balls sailing on him.

It's common knowledge throwing off your back foot can cause balls to sail. Some of his throws off his back foot in the past has been due to pressure and not having time to go through the entire throwing motion.

No we shouldn't pretend this issue is happening only after he had surgery. It predates his surgery.

Yes he has overthrows, but I think you are blowing it out of proportion. He's still got work to do with his mechanics obviously, but the soreness from the surgery is certainly not going to help matters with that right now. I'm more worried about our OL protecting him at this point.

Height helps though.  Potentially a lot.

Newton has been, and probably always will be, a guy whose accuracy is more in the 'catchable pass' vein than 'pinpoint accurate'.  Like a lot of guys with his playing style, he's capable of delivering an absolutely perfect strike, and following up with a shot that makes you go 'what the hell'

To tell the truth, that's a lot of quarterbacks.  There aren't that many 'surgical precision' guys out there.

Again, you adjust.

Cam doesn't need to fix it... Gettlemagic fixed it with simple ABCs of team management... Avant, Benji, Cotchery...

While Jake was never top tier, he did go downhill after they brought in a new QB coach who was supposed to "help his mechanics"..

Prob'ly drunk on miPhone using CarolinaHuddle...
