Boomer Esiason's most overrated players...guess who's number 1

This is the Cam narrative. It's always going to be the Cam narrative to idiots like Boomer/Peter King/etc. This narrative moves the needle, but is easily dispelled by actual intelligent analysts like say a Bill Barnwell, who has actually studied and wrote about the team at length.

Cam has done his part. The team has failed him multiple times in the past. That's including the offensive coordinators.

What hype? No one expected Cam to break Peyton Manning's rookie passing record, or have the third most rushing touchdowns of any player the past three seasons. All he has done is break records.

No one anywhere is saying Cam is at the level of top 5 QB.

Aaron Rodgers didn't even start a game until what, his fourth season? So yeah , of course the next two years will decide if he is elite. And so will the next 9 after that.

And another thing, where the fug is Cam rated so high? He was designated a "tier 3" QB behind the likes of Nick Foles in that brilliant nfl exec poll. Jaworksi put him at #15 behind guys like Romo and Flacco.

Just a chance for Boomer to exercise his negativity towards a QB that doesn't look or act how he thinks a QB should be.

I never seen Cam rated a top ten QB ever maybe in fantasy football because he can run the ball. Cam has always had an injured o line or one with a bunch of holes in it. His best WR was Steve Smith who was debatably past his prime when he arrived. His best receiving corp was this year and we know how many balls were dropped by smith, lafail and Ginn. Stewart has always been injured and Williams is 30 years old and often hurt. I just don't see how he can look good with these issues. He isn't Rodgers or Manning but he also is a lot younger and could get better with time.

Might as well have just written an article stating how "overrated" he thinks Cam is, because that was clearly the primary objective to start with. That stupid little thought popped in boomer's head but he didn't want to make it look like a crusade so he threw in a bunch of other names nobody would contest so he didn't step on any toes and tried to pass it off as being as valid as possible. Trent Richardson? Lol the same richardson who sat the bench all year last year? Lol

Yeah Boomer, now why don't we write up a list of most overrates QB's to ever strap it on and see how high you go. I'd wager it doesn't take many fingers to count the guys ahead of you.

I LOVE this. Absolutely hilarious. Boomer - just like every other pundit idiot out there - continues with his short term memory, acting like never before have the Panthers been accused of not putting weapons around him. Apparently last year Newton had this all star cast around him on offense, full of superstars, and now they're all gone. This storyline got old when Jake didn't have a #2 receiver.

 

By the end of last season, Cam was playing with an o-line headlined by a fantastic Kalil, a retiring Gross, an off the street Wharton, an undrafted Bell, and a former d-tackle. He had an overpaid and old Smitty, a terrible Lafell, an overperforming Ginn to go along with Olsen who played great in his role.

 

Cam won so many games last year, and this BS is still coming up, it's fuging ridiculous and it just shows how desperate Sports Illustrated is to stay notable.

But a measuring a QB is done by looking at the talent around him according to Boomer.

The offense was bad this year. At least we signed some receivers that are know to catch the ball. Can you imagine how good Cam stats would have been without all those drops?
