4K HDTV

I figure when I buy a new TV in 5 or so years it might be worth it.

FYI I bought a 51" CRT Projection HDTV for $700 in early 2007 when everyone was buying 42" LCDs for $1500.

Still looks as good as the day I bought it.

How much did the forklift you use to move it cost you, though.

I'm not one of those guys that needs a wall-sized TV.  My 40 inch Samsung has been fantastic from day one.

The clarity on those 4Ks though, absolutely incredible.

Got to see one of the new curved screen TVs just a short time back.  Think those might be even better.

I know there no real reason to get that display unless youre getting bigger than 70in...

This. I worked at best buy through school and we only really saw any difference on about 70" and up. Like also mentioned about content. I'd guess it will be a while (as in years) before we see significant content for this. Could potentially be worth it in the long haul but if have a hard time justifying it on anything under 70"

The consumer content I saw was standard hd cable on a 55in in guy's living room, no obvious difference. On the larger commercial digital signage displays there was, but that's not home viewing content...

Save some loot, go to a pawn shop, check the manufacture date. I can't take in a TV more than 3yrs old at the pawn I work at....

Prob'ly drunk on miPhone using CarolinaHuddle...
