And in a real game it's straight through his hands

 

That's exactly what I was thinking.  A lot of times though, he will make those ridiculous grabs.  Its just the routine third and four crossing pattern where he is five yards down field and no one is around where he has trouble.  The more routine the catch, the more inept his hands become.

The play was a complete beauty, but it was on Melvin which was a little concerning for him. There were a lot of spectators filming it on their iPhones, so you'll have to hope somebody here has it.
